S B X

Born in Pretoria East, Gauteng, self-acclaimed superstar extraordinaire S B X is an award winning South African singer-songwriter who grew up in a small town in KZN. Her musical influences include legends such as Rihanna; Lebo Mathosa; and Aaliyah, who have been fundamental inspirations in regards to her overall style and current musical direction. S B X’s song-writing is inspired by her own personal experiences, as she often details her journey through life and love in her music, allowing her music to maintain mass relatability from her peers and supporters alike. In 2019, SBX had begun recording her debut single, ‘Libra’s Interlude’ which would be released in March 2020 with an accompanied dance video. The positive reception of this song prompted her to begin writing and recording a full project which would later be known as her acclaimed 2020 debut EP, ‘These Songs Are About You’ which spawned the hit RnB single ‘4U’.

As of April 2023, S B X has released her highly anticipated third project, Now That Its Over. The rollout and project has been praised by her peers and fans alike, introducing her to a wider, mainstream audience since its release. The tape is supported by radio singles, “Cycles” and “Consider It” featuring Swaziland- born artist, Manana.

S B X continues to make her mark in the entertainment industry with not only her music but also her current brand and fashion collaborations. Having been noted as one of SA’s RnB rising artists to watch, it is with no doubt that this year will see SBX push more boundaries with her artistry.
